“Alms are for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); for those who hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Truth); for those in bondage and in debt; in the cause of Allah; and for the wayfarer: (thus it is) ordained by Allah, and Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.” Holy Quran, Surat Al-Tawbah, Ayat 60.

As-Salaamu Alaykum Dear Believers,

As we announced last month, we were blessed to receive several grants. One grant was from The Cleveland Clergy Alliance for $750.00 and another award of $8,000.00 from The Cleveland Foundation COVID 19 Emergency Fund. We will distribute these funds to families and individuals who have suffered hardships due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. If you are in need, please call the Masjid for more information on how to qualify for these funds.

Our loan balance (from the $30,000 loan for roof repairs) is currently $24,499.00, with a monthly payment of $562.10. The certificate of deposit, which started at $30,000 to secure a loan for the roof, with interest, has grown to $30,419.00. The cash balance of our building fund is now $9,460.

Please consider concentrating your donations to Zakat only until we are back in the building. Many things have to be done, such as carpet cleaning and sanitizing, face mask purchases, hand sanitizer stations, and other cleaning supplies, plus we have to make building modifications before we can open to the public.

We encourage you to take time out to donate to Masjid Bilal of Cleveland.

  • You can make a secure payment through PayPal on our website by going to and clicking on the DONATE button.
  • You can mail your donation to Masjid Bilal of Cleveland, c/o Treasurer, 7401 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.
  • If you are in the area, you can put a check or money order into an envelope, then drop the envelope into our mail slot near the front doors of the Masjid.

We appreciate all of your contributions and your support.

As-Salaamu Alaykum,

Kariem Hasan
